Designer Sphere…the online wholesale trade fair for emerging and independent Australian designers has now launched…

Designer Sphere has been set up as an accessible and approachable method for independent designers to build their business and wholesale their product. Designers can create their own wholesale business page including photos of their products, and target retailers directly. All orders received from retailers are commission free. The only cost is a yearly membership which works out to less than a weekly cup of coffee.

The full time face behind Designer Sphere is Belinda, a trained fashion designer come world traveller come budding cook (in her spare time). Designer Sphere is the product of an idea hatched in an English cafe over three years ago. A persistent idea that would not leave her head, one day Bel decided to put pen to paper, get the idea out and ended up with a complete business plan. After 12 months planning and research, Designer Sphere was launched. Now with a small team of fellow creatives in the wings supporting, the idea has become a reality.

What started as a casual conversation has now turned into a very large goal…to help designers build up their business to a sustainable level. Allowing them to concentrate solely on their craft, and not have to worry about additional part time work to support themselves. At the same time the aim is to increase the level of Australian made products in shops around the nation.
