Christine Amanda is a an artist based in country Victoria who makes jewellery inspired by Australian flora and fauna. She creates unique wearable art from her own hand-drawn images which are laser-cut and etched onto timber and then hand-painted.
Christine has had a passion for art and design since she was a child. A love of horses as a young girl saw her studying their form and teaching herself to draw, this progressed into exploring graphic design techniques and making her own greeting cards from recycled materials including making her own recycled paper. She graduated with a Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration after high school however never pursued a career as a designer, but still has a love for interior styling and architecture and will watch home design shows on repeat.
After a number of years away from art she found herself with a longing to be creative again. Dabbling in photography and then teaching herself digital design she began experimenting and creating earrings and brooches from her own hand-drawn designs with shrink plastic. She then progressed to working with hand painted timber designs inspired by Australian flora and native fauna.
