Georgia Ruby Polichroniadis (georgiarubyp) is an artist living and working in Melbourne, Australia. She is interested in examining the tension between strength and fragility and its relationship to materiality. Her work often draws from personal experience and are designed to evoke an affective, emotional response. She uses embroidery as a way of taking a moment to sit in the work and let the methodical process of stitching capture a feeling. Crafted with tender loving care all these embroidery pieces are unique and hand-stitched. By sketching through stitches Georgia hopes that these works will hold within them the care and emotion she puts into the works and hopefully they resonate with people.
