She hopes ‘haboo’ will bring more brightness and happiness to the lives of people as how it has definitely brought herself to a better place in mind. If she can put more ‘smiles’ on faces, then she must be on the right track 🙂
Irenne is designer/illustrator who has a fun and unique approach in creating jewelries and accessories, which led into an idea to create wearable quirky arts with hopes to bring more smiles to many people.
Haboo is a word that is very close to Irenne’s (the maker) heart. Haboo was the first word that came from her son when he started babbling at 3 months old. She thought it sounded pretty cute. Ever since she’s used this word as his nickname.
‘haboo’ – a handcraft-inspired brand – was an idea that came to Irenne during her lows right after she had her son. Now don’t get it wrong, she is so grateful to have him in her life and he’s the best thing that has ever happened to her… However, she had to battle post-natal depression during the first year of her new role as a mum.
She felt the lack of support and the lost of her momentum in producing artworks. She was actively working as a designer/illustrator before she gave birth to her son.
She then started questioning herself a lot, wondering what she wanted to pursue in life. Until one day she saw a pom pom making tutorial online and she got hooked pretty much straight away! She have always loved pom poms (even before they were hip). She then started learning and making more and more pom poms everyday. Her endless flow of imagination always gets her excited to make unique products that challenges her to come up with all the variations.
