Lew Keilar is an Australian artist with a 30 year history in illustration.
In the early years of his career Lew specialised as an airbrush artist and continued in the commercial arena evolving to be a sought-after visualiser, storyboard artist, scribe, live-drawing artist and eventually a whiteboard animator.
Finding your visual style is the Holy Grail for any artist and from all of these disciplines in drawing combined with keeping a sketchbook for his ink drawings, the minimal style he is now best known for, finally emerged.
“With over a year successfully and consistently selling my prints to a growing audience and expanding into other similar outlets, I’m learning my art resonates with people. I’m a veteran illustrator and it’s amazing to be finally creating my own ‘briefs’, working towards my own deadlines and producing work that connects with other people. It’s so satisfying, inspiring and such an exciting time!”
