Wild Incantations is a collection of electroformed copper jewellery pieces made by Gaia. Since childhood, Gaia has had a love for nature, collecting and creating, and electroforming is her latest passion that combines all three! Electroforming is a technique that involves building layers of copper metal around a surface. Gaia’s electroformed jewellery consists of compositions made up of found and foraged objects (including insects, seedpods, bones and leaves) combined with various crystals. Gaia loves working with themes inspired by fantasy, mythology and the occult, and enjoys incorporating ideas and symbols from ancient Nordic and Celtic cultures. Through her art, Gaia hopes to invite a little more magic into the world.
I make jewellery for witches, faeries and folk who are drawn to unusual or unique, statement pieces. My customers are always excited about the idea of wearing preserved treasures from nature as their very own special talisman. If you like bones, insects, and a little bit of earth magic, Wild Incantations jewellery is for you!
I create my jewellery using a process called electroforming to build up layers of copper over objects found in nature. This allows me to immortalise natural treasures such as bones, leaves and insects, and turn them into unique pieces of jewellery for you to wear!
