Here’s What’s Happening In The Cube This November!

Here’s what’s happening in the cube this November!

Hey hello!

I can’t believe it’s already November. The sun is shining, the baby birds are chirping (or screaming, depends on your POV) and everyone’s moods have lifted about 500%. What a dream!

We’re really seeing the positivity flowing through this month, seen throughout the new creations dropping from our cubers, incoming artists and the general demeanor of everyone who visits…

We’ve got some good stuff happening this month, so read on to get your head around what’s happening in the cube. I hope to see you soon!

We’ve got three wonderful shows for this month!

1 November 2018 we opened POSTCARDS, a selection of small and not so small works by twelve Melbourne artists. We asked the artists to depict a place they would rather be, which has been interperated both literally, in the form of landscapes and more abstractly.

15 November 2018 we open our last Almost Solo show for the year, featuring works from returning artist Kate Lund (Queensland) who’s series presents the constant attempt to stay afloat when work-life balance becomes unattainable, returning artist Camella Macpherson (Melbourne) exhibiting a collection of portraits conveying her passion for reproducing expression, Tracy Hsu (Melbourne) exhibiting a collection exploring the use of repetition and colour to evoke feelings from the audience and Haelio Photos Madeline Bowser (Melbourne) exhibiting fine-art photographs representing her personal experience in often overlooked perspectives, rather than exploring complex or abstract theories. Read more about the artists and what they are exhibiting on the event page.

29th November 2018 we open Collage, a collection of collages from a group of Melbourne based artists in themes and topics ranging from beautiful collages created from pressed flowers to Mutant Birds! Should be interesting!

We’re winding down workshops for the rest of the year, with exception of one fun workshop happening just before Christmas where you’ll be able to create your own handmade wrapping paper with direction and stamps created by one of our cubers Jade Lees-Pavey. Buy tickets here (only $5!).

Christmas shopping night!

Big news! For the first time we will be hosting a VIP shopping night exclusive for our newsletter & social media friends! Register to come along (bring a friend) and enjoy drinks, tunes & giveaways as well as some interactive craft areas where you can make your own wrapping paper and gift tags.
