Works

Camella Macpherson

Camella Macpherson is a self-taught artist based in Melbourne who works primarily in graphite pencils, coloured pencils and watercolour. Camella is drawn to capturing human expression, mood and personality through realistic portraiture.

“Inspired by observing the people in my life, this collection of portraits conveys my passion for reproducing expression, whether that be the expression of a subject’s face, their form, posture or clothing. Through fine pencil work and attention to detail, I hope to capture the likeness of the people behind the portraits and the warmth of their personalities.”

Haelio Photo

Based in Melbourne, Madeline Bowser is a travel photographer who specialises in city and landscapes. Formally trained in fine art photography, Madeline’s photographs represent her personal experience in often overlooked perspectives, rather than exploring complex or abstract theories.

This series of photographs is a comparison of both landscape and weather, at the same time of year, across four different locations in the northern hemisphere – Iceland, Canada, Alaska and Norway. All photographs were taken in late May through to early June during the last days of spring, and first couple of weeks of summer in 2017 and 2018. The prevalence of wintery weather, even at this time of year, meant that low gloomy cloud and snow made for the possibility of dramatic scenes, but often with more difficult photographic conditions.

Tracy Hsu

Tracy Hsu is a Melbourne based artist best known for her bright and colourful artwork, combining her love of needle work with drawing and painting. She likes to put some subtle meaning behind her paintings but sometimes she just likes to draw what is on her mind. Tracy has always had a deep love affair with cartoons and still watches them today! She draws inspiration from everyday life and wanting to make people smile when they look at her artwork.

For this series of work, Tracy is exploring the use of repetition and colour to evoke feelings from the audience. The artworks range from acrylic to oil painting with a touch of fabric added on top to give it a 3D pop.
