I took inspiration from a trip to Switzerland for this painting.
The rolling hills, open skies and fields of flowers were so open and free.
Far in the distance, you could hear the faint sound of cow bells. Up close you could smell the fragrance of the wildflowers.
I wanted to give this piece an 'impression' rather than a direct copy of the landscape.
The style reflects the feeling of joy in the vibrancy of the mountains, and quiet reflection in the soft, pillowy flowers in the foreground.
I hope it evokes a similar feeling for you.
