Based in St Kilda Melbourne, Carin specialises in watercolour. She has a strong commissions following, licenses her work and has received award recognition in international competitions.

Many of her paintings capture the beauty of St Kilda’s nature.  Commuting Home shows the busy traffic on Melbourne’s Westgate Bridge, during one of Melbourne’s spectacular sunsets, as people return home after work.  It was painted on Arches, cold pressed paper, 300 gsm.

Carin said of her painting “What a sunset. Amazing colours! It really was this vibrant and incredible.  It provided such a beautiful backdrop to people commuting home”.

Her paintings combine the diversity and drama of nature with the subtlety and complexity of watercolour. They are vibrant and dramatic, or peaceful and atmospheric. Living where she does, she has the opportunity to often show the love she has for an amazing St Kilda sunset or sunrise.

Carin says “I create paintings to give joy, to the owner of the work or for people to give as a special gift. I’m so lucky to be able to connect with people in this way. To me, the subtlety and drama of watercolour, its beauty and depth captures the world we live in like no other medium”.

This original watercolour painting is framed, personally signed by Carin and comes with her Certificate of Authenticity.
