Moon Jacket in cotton double cloth, One size, by à pois
Why calling it ‘Moon jacket’?
When I was pondering for a name, the soft curves of this jacket, polkadots, and swirl of the button made an image of the full moon pop up in my head 🙂
This cotton double cloth was woven in Japan. The polkadot (printed) side is a twill, and plain navy side is a canvas. They were woven at the same time to create a fabric. Unlike the usual double cloth which two separate fabrics are bonded or fused every inch, this fabric is stable all the way to the selvedge and softer.
The texture of this fabric is closer to a denim but much softer and denser.
You can button it up to the top or leave the top button undone as an open collar.
The dropped shoulder gives you an ease for the shoulder area and arms.
The bodice is quite roomy but slightly tapered towards the hem to make it less bulky.
It features large patch pockets and a mini pocket for an accent.
The specifications are;
Body width 122cm (circumference)
Sleeve 77.5cm(from the centre back nape to the cuff)
Bottom width 102cm
Only one available.
